About
In high school I was in two schools at once. I took math online at Stanford Online High School, starting multivariable calculus as a freshman, and did theater in person at Paly. I’ve been trying to get those two rooms talking ever since.
Nearly everything I’ve made gives more people a way in. I started a summer camp that funded my school’s theater program, and a drop-in film lab after my school cut its film classes. I made a film that teaches freshmen about consent, a clothing label that shows a garment’s hidden climate cost, and an app that helps small businesses find accessibility problems before they get sued. I also work on hackathons that welcome people who aren’t engineers. Lately I’ve started testing whether these things actually work, and why.
Timeline
Childhood
I grew up in Castle Rock, Colorado, as one of relatively few Asian students at school.
Summer before sixth grade
My family moved to Palo Alto.
Seventh grade
When COVID hit, I homeschooled for a year with Art of Problem Solving and local programs.
Eighth grade
I went full-time to Stanford Online High School.
2022 to 2026
Paly theater became my in-person school, and I graduated in June 2026. I stayed at Stanford Online High School as a single-course student for math Paly didn’t offer, started multivariable calculus as a freshman, and finished the school’s math sequence.
March 2023
As a freshman, I founded the Paly Theatre Summer Camp.
June 2025
I founded FilmLab with $25,000 from the City of Palo Alto, and more than 35 teens made Picture Perfect there.
Now
I’m at USC’s Iovine and Young Academy, studying for a B.S. in Arts, Technology, and the Business of Innovation.
